Who We Are

Barrington Men's Fraternity ("BMF," "we," "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving men in the Barrington, Illinois area. This policy describes what information we collect through this website and our communications, and how we use it. Questions: announcements@barringtonmf.com. Effective July 7, 2026.

Information We Collect

Contact information you provide - such as your name, email address, and mobile phone number - when you sign up through our website forms, in person at a session, or by texting our keyword to our number. Prayer requests you submit by email or in person. Photos and video recorded at our sessions and events, which may appear on our website and YouTube channel. Donations are processed by Zeffy; we do not collect or store your payment card details.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to send announcements, session reminders, and updates by email; to send text message reminders if you have opted in (see below); and to coordinate events, small groups, and volunteer opportunities. We use HubSpot to manage our contact list and email, and Sakari to send text messages. These providers process your information only on our behalf.

Text Messaging (SMS) Terms

Opt-in: you can opt in to BMF text reminders by checking the consent box on our sign-up form or by texting BMF to (847) 857-6487. Message frequency: recurring messages, typically one per week during our Spring and Fall seasons and occasional messages in the off-season. Message and data rates may apply. Opt out anytime by replying STOP; reply HELP for help, or contact us at (847) 857-6487 or announcements@barringtonmf.com.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

What We Share

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above (HubSpot, Sakari, Zeffy) as needed to operate our communications, or if required by law.

Prayer Requests

Prayer requests shared with the group are published with first names only. If you would like a request removed or amended, email us.

Photos and Video

Our sessions are recorded and speaker videos are published on our YouTube channel. If you appear in a photo or recording and would like it removed, contact us.

Your Choices

Unsubscribe from email using the link in any of our emails. Stop text messages by replying STOP to any message. Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing announcements@barringtonmf.com.

Children

Our website and communications are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on this page.
